Tamper-evident audit trail

Created, sent, inbox verified, opened, signed, completed. Each event is linked to the one before it by a SHA-256 hash. Edit, remove or reorder any record and the chain stops verifying. Re-verify it any time from the dashboard or the API.

Sealed PDF with an independent timestamp

When an envelope completes, the signed PDF gets a PAdES seal and an RFC 3161 timestamp from DigiCert's public timestamp authority, which is independent of Drakon. Fingerprints of the original and the signed PDF go into the chain, so nobody can quietly swap the file. The completion record shows exactly what was applied.

Certificate of completion

A separate PDF with its own fingerprint, issued automatically for every completed envelope. It records who signed, when, and how they were verified.

Evidence bundle

Download one write-once file with every audit record, the raw timestamp tokens and the exact consent wording each signer accepted. Hand it to a client, an auditor or a lawyer, and they can check it without asking us.

What does the evidence record give me?+

For every completed envelope you get a signed PDF with a seal and an independent timestamp, a certificate of completion, and an audit trail that shows which document version went to which recipient, when their inbox was verified, when they signed, and that nothing has changed since. Electronic signatures are admissible in evidence under UK law, and DrakonSign gives you the record to back yours up.

What documents can I send?+

Do my signers need an account?+

No. They get a personal link and a one-time code by email, and they can sign on a phone in a couple of minutes.

How are signers verified?+

Before the document opens, each signer enters a 6-digit one-time code sent to the email address you addressed. That ties the signature to the named inbox. DrakonSign doesn't check ID documents.

Where is my data held?+

The application, the database and your live documents run in London. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Encrypted nightly backups are kept for 30 days on globally distributed storage. The Security page has the full breakdown.

Can I build it into my own software?+

Yes. Every envelope operation is in the REST API on every plan: upload, place fields, send, track, verify and download evidence. API and dashboard share one envelope allowance at one published price.

Can I cancel?+

Yes, from your account at any time, with no cancellation fees. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for.
